MISSION NORTH DAKOTA

The 2008 North Dakota Mission Trip is history, but it is still very much alive in the hearts and minds of those who went. The team was comprised of 71 members ranging in age from 10 to 70+. We have discovered that youth and mature adults, with all ages in between, make a wonderful combination. The North Country was beautiful due to the moisture in that area, which tried unseccessfully to dampen our spirits from time to time. We just continued in rain, hail, and wind to let our 'little light shine.' Our group was able to complete several improvement and repair projects, landscaping and beautification of church and pastoral property, and a community project of cleaning the city park to make it safe and usable. We had the privilege to minister to a total enrollment of 309 in VBS this year, ranging in ages from 4 to adults. This included 14 in the Elder Community and 17 who attended a football camp. The Bible verse and emphasis of all our stories was John 14:6--No one comes to the Father except through the Son. We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work among those people and that DeAnna and Alex Sosa will be able to lead and disciple them.
