ORDINATION OPEN FORUM The church is invited to participate in an open forum on 5/18, as we discuss First Hurst's ordination philosophy and practices. A team of former deacon chairmen will present their findings on the subject, with a heavy emphasis on relevant Biblical teachings. The congregation will have an opportunity to respond and discuss the topic. |

MISSION NORTH DAKOTA We are excited about our fourth annual trip to Ft. Yates, North Dakota, as part of our continuing mission work on the Sioux Indian Reservation. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Surf's up! During VBS '08, kids entering Kindergarten-6th grades will know, speak, and live God's truth--aloha style. WEST AFRICA MISSION Another mission team will minister along the Mehanna Road in Niger, West Africa in mid-June. This team's goals will include both evangelistic and medical efforts among the Songhai people. MISSION MEXICO A new Mexico missions partnership for First Hurst begins this summer with another trip to the Piedras Negras area.
