In today's world of hustle & bustle, moms playing taxi driver and bake sale coordinator, grandmothers filling in as caregivers, single moms performing juggling acts and each day staring at a sink of dirty dishes and stacks of laundry... the women of First Baptist Hurst still know that "the JOY of the Lord is our strength!" (Nehemiah 8:10)

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry of First Hurst is to encourage and motivate women to draw closer to the Lord and to each other. We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year to deepen your walk with the Lord and also to just kick back and have some fun!

LADIES BIBLE STUDY:
Ladies Bible Study Classes are usually offered in a 10-week time frame in the Fall & Spring. We offer classes on Sunday Evenings from 5-7 pm & Tuesday Mornings from 10 am-12 pm. Childcare is available for some of these studies. Click here to see our Spring 2007 offerings.

Women Developing One 2 One Friendships

Our Heart 2 Heart ministry to women is built around two scriptures: For where two or three gather together because they are mine, I am there among them (Matthew 18:20) and Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; if one falls down, her friend can help her up (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). For four months in the Fall and four months in the Spring, pairs of women meet to encourage each other in homes, parks, restaurants, before church, after work, early in the morning and in the evening all around our area. MOPS
Mothers of Preschoolers

MOPS is dedicated to the message that “mothering matters,” and that moms of young children need encouragement during these critical early years. Our MOPS program helps mothers find friendship and acceptance, provides places for real and open connection, and helps each mom experience God’s love through relationships and resources.
